Objectives for the Gatherings have been established to provide an opportunity for First Nation Lands Mangers to:
  • Learn, share and develop new methods for effective land management

  • Participate in professional development activities

  • Receive information on the current status and emerging developments in departmental land management policies and national issues related to land management

  • Network with other Lands Managers and other interested parties


The National Forum on the Technical Aspects of Matrimonial Real Property and 9th National Lands Managers Gathering will be held at the International Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre in Toronto, Ontario on June 17th, 18th, and 19th, 2014.

We are pleased to offer a sponsorship of $500 per First Nation, to assist registered participants with the travel cost of attending the National Forum on the Technical Aspects of Matrimonial Real Property. First Nations will be eligible to receive reimbursement up to a maximum of $500 upon receipt of a completed travel claim, accompanied by original associated receipts. All eligible claims will be made payable to the First Nation, unless accompanied by a letter from the First Nation Administration directing otherwise. Travel Claim and Receipts must be submitted to Jill Knott, NALMA Finance and Professional Development Support no later than Friday July 4th, 2014.
